Welcome to the Boy Scouts of America Troop 773 of the Pickett’s Mill District website!
Message from the Scoutmaster:
It is a privilege to be a part of an organization that has such a positive impact on the youth of America. The mission statement of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. With this in mind, we have the opportunity to provide our youth with the tools to change their lives and help them to have a positive impact on society. We not only provide young men with positive examples and leadership mentoring, but also teach them valuable life skills such as camping, cooking, personal finance, and numerous other skills through the extensive B.S.A. merit badge program.
Our troop has journeyed to New Mexico for a two-week packing trip at Philmont Scout Ranch, white water rafted the Ocoee River in Tennessee, snorkeled and sailed in the Florida Keys, canoed the Flint River, and rafted down the Copper River in Alaska. Help us to determine our next great adventure. Will it be rappelling, mountain climbing, or skiing?
If you enjoy being in the outdoors, participating in high adventure, working with your peers, and seeing youth leadership in action, then see what adventures await you in our troop. Come visit one of our meetings and see what you’ve been missing.
